I purchased a 2016 Certified Tahoe. The next day I was in service because 3 of the 5 USB ports did not work. Service called me back within the hour and told me the issue was fixed. I pick up my vehicle and 30 minutes later the USB ports failed. The vehicle had to stay in the shop over night for new ports to be installed. The next day I realized the rear climate control panel did not work. I was back in service and they said a part needed to be ordered and I haven’t heard from them in 3 days. Needless to say i’m frustrated with the electrical issues in my newer vehicle and hope this is the last of these issues. I would like to enjoy the vehicle I purchased.
Service tech advised on things my vehicle needed to get done. I purchased the vehicle cert. used 9/22/2018, mileage 41985. Went in for 2nd oil change due to 2 free oil changes when purchased. Vehicle at time of service had 47206 miles. Was told coolant flush, fuel system flush and serpentine belt was worn and needed to be serviced. I was like WoW ok. The service tech came back later and was like I double checked everything and looks ok don’t worry about it. Obviously I know better so I called and spoke with Luis, he referred me to Mark in service. Mark and I set up a time the next day and he checked everything out. He explained the coolant was ok, fuel flush not needed and belt would need to be replaced eventually. My understanding was when these vehicles are traded in they are inspected and checked throughly before being put out on the sales floor? Mark briefly explained the process and how it varies from vehicle to vehicle.
